Vintage Disco Cake Workshop - Saturday September 14 AM
Get ready for Miss Trixie's vintage disco cake decorating workshop - a delightful journey into the artistry and charm of vintage cake decorating techniques, peppered with a bit of retro disco flair. Hosted at The Co.Bake Space, the workshop is set to bolster your piping prowess!
This workshop is for beginners and focuses on decorating techniques and piping styles. You'll learn what piping nozzles to use and how to create a perfect disco ball covered, vintage style cake! Creative freedom is absolutely encouraged and we welcome fun, mischief and banter in the class!
You'll walk away with a 8 inch heart x 2 layer cake (in either our favourite chocolate biscoff & funfetti, white chocolate raspberry & passionfruit flavour or our extra moist gluten free lemon, blueberry and almond cake with lemon curd - please stipulate in the checkout notes what flavour you would like), our top secret (and fail proof) buttercream recipe and a heap of techniques for you to try at home.
We'll demonstrate how to make our swiss meringue buttercream, along with how to best fill your piping bags, use your turntable and add the finishing touches to your cake. The cake will feed 25 - 30 coffee portions, so you can take straight to a party with friends to show off!
All equipment (turn tables, palette knives, piping bags and nozzles) will be provided. A glass of bubbles, water and an extra Miss Trixie treat is all included!
This is the perfect short workshop for beginners (no previous experience necessary, although we always welcome kitchen whizzes!) and for those who want to dive straight on into the master of vintage cake decorating with Trix herself - one of Melbourne's most sought after cake designers.
